What We Do

Get Radio Airplay helps independent artists put their music in front of radio presenters who are actively looking for new releases to support and play.

Instead of spending hours searching for contacts, sending unanswered emails or paying anywhere from hundreds to thousands of pounds for a traditional radio plugging campaign, artists can upload their music to one central platform and make it available to presenters in the UK and around the world.

Presenters and producers use Get Radio Airplay to discover new music for their stations and shows, giving every release a genuine opportunity to be considered for airplay.

Our aim is to make radio promotion simpler, more affordable, and more accessible for independent musicians. We help artists save time, reach a broader network of presenters, and build a foundation of radio support without contracts, retainers, or lengthy campaigns.

Our focus is on genuine, tangible results. Where an artist chooses to add a radio airplay report, they receive a clear record of the confirmed support their release has received, with no exaggerated figures or vague claims.

Get Radio Airplay sits between trying to manage radio promotion entirely by yourself and hiring an expensive traditional radio plugger. It offers a practical, honest route for artists who want to give their music a real chance of being heard.

No hype. No inflated claims. Just a straightforward way to get your music into the right place for real radio consideration.

What We Don't Do

We believe independent artists deserve honesty and clear expectations when it comes to getting radio airplay. That's why it's just as important to be clear about what Get Radio Airplay is not.

  • We don't promise guaranteed airplay.
What we do promise is that your music will be in the right place to give it a genuine chance of being heard by the right people.
  • We don't sell false hope or make unrealistic claims.
Radio support depends on many factors, including fit, timing, and presenter choice.
  • We don't promise fame or overnight success.
Radio airplay can help your music reach new listeners, but no platform can guarantee a big break.
  • We don't lock artists into contracts, retainers, or long campaigns.
There's no pressure to commit beyond what feels right for your release.
  • We don't inflate results or overstate success.
Plays, feedback, and reports are genuine, and everything is presented honestly.
  • We don't spam thousands of radio stations.
The right presenters come to Get Radio Airplay to find new music for their shows.
  • We don't target specific national radio stations.
Get Radio Airplay is designed to help artists build broader support with presenters in the UK and around the world, rather than secure airplay on a particular station or show.
  • We don't want artists paying for uploads that aren't ready for radio.
Our Radio Ready Check helps make sure your music is at the right standard before you invest in a full upload for presenters to discover.

How It Works

Get Radio Airplay is designed to be quick and straightforward, making it easy for independent artists to upload music and get started.

  1. Create an account
Sign up for an account. It takes a couple of minutes.
  2. Create your artist profile
Artists start by creating a profile, including a short bio, links, and relevant information about their music. This helps give radio presenters useful context when considering new releases.
  3. Upload your track
Once your profile is complete, you upload your song to the platform. There's no need to search for contacts, research presenters, or send individual submissions.
  4. Choose the right option for your release
You then select the tier that best suits your needs and complete payment:
    • Radio Ready Check — an optional first step if you're unsure whether your track is suitable for radio airplay
    • Song Upload
    • Song Upload with Independent Airplay Report
  5. Your music is made available to radio shows
Your track is made available to independent radio presenters and shows that actively support new and emerging artists.
  6. Presenter choice and airplay
Music on the platform is heard by presenters who actively choose what they play. If a track is selected, it can be featured on a real radio show — not simply placed into an automated stream running on a loop. All airplay decisions are made independently by individual radio presenters.
  7. Reporting (where applicable)
If you choose the airplay report option, you'll receive an independent 30-day airplay summary showing where your music has been played.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you guarantee airplay?

We can't guarantee a specific number of plays, as airplay decisions are made by individual presenters based on what fits their shows.

What we can do is put your music in the right place to be heard and genuinely considered for airplay by presenters who actively support new music.

Who will be able to access my music?

Independent radio presenters, stations and shows that actively support new and emerging artists.

Think of it like being in the press tent at a festival, surrounded by presenters eager to discover bands and support them on their shows — those are the kinds of people accessing the platform.

Do you work with national radio stations or presenters?

Get Radio Airplay is primarily designed to connect independent artists with independent radio presenters, stations and shows in the UK and around the world.

Music on the platform may occasionally be heard by people working in national radio, but we do not specifically target national stations or promise access to their presenters or producers. If your main goal is to secure airplay on a particular national station, a specialist radio plugger is likely to be the more suitable route.

I have a new single coming out. When should I upload it?

We recommend uploading your track around one week before its release date.

This gives presenters time to discover and consider the song without uploading so early that they hold back until closer to release. As the Independent Airplay Report covers the 30 days following your upload, uploading too far in advance could also mean that your report shows little or no activity while presenters wait for the release date.

Is Get Radio Airplay suitable for a first-time release?

Yes. It can be a great option for a first-time release, giving artists an affordable and straightforward way to start building radio support.

Will my song be rejected if the quality isn't up to scratch?

Possibly — and that's why the Radio Ready Check exists.

If a track isn't suitable for radio for technical, production, or suitability reasons, it may not perform well. The Radio Ready Check is an optional first step that provides honest feedback before submission, helping to avoid disappointment and set expectations early.

Does explicit language affect my chances of airplay?

Yes. Get Radio Airplay does not accept tracks containing explicit language, so please always upload a clean, radio-friendly version of your song.

Can I upload more than one song?

Yes — you can upload up to ten songs.

That said, most artists focus on one song at a time and pay for a single release on its own. Choosing your strongest current track keeps things clear for presenters, who can then see exactly which song you'd like them to consider rather than being faced with several at once.

Does my song have to be a new release?

No — but ideally, yes.

Radio presenters are generally more interested in current or recent releases. Older tracks can still be uploaded, but new music usually has a better chance of being considered for airplay.

Can I upload a cover version, remix, or live track?

Yes. You can upload cover versions, remixes, and live tracks.

However, some presenters only play original music, so cover versions and remixes may receive less interest. Live tracks should also be of a high enough quality for radio, as poor sound quality may reduce their chances of being played.

How do I know if I'm choosing the right song to upload?

If you're unsure, the Radio Ready Check is designed to help with exactly this.

It offers an honest assessment of whether your track is suitable for radio consideration, helping you choose the strongest possible release before uploading.

I have an album to release and I'm not sure which songs would be best to release as singles or which tracks are best suited to radio airplay. Can the Radio Ready Check help with that?

Yes. You're welcome to submit any number of songs from your album for a Radio Ready Check to help you decide which tracks may be strongest for radio and most suitable to release as singles.

What information should I include with my upload?

Your artist profile and song information are separate, and both help presenters understand your music and introduce it accurately.

Your artist profile should include your biography, social media links, upcoming live dates and any relevant album or release information. Lyrics are optional, but they can also be helpful.

For each song, make sure you include the correct release date and any important information specifically related to that track.

How long will my music stay available to presenters?

Your music will remain available to presenters for as long as it stays on your Get Radio Airplay profile.

Can I update my track or release information after uploading?

Yes. You can edit your artist profile and update the information attached to your song after uploading.

However, you cannot replace the audio file, so please make sure you upload the correct MP3 version of your track.

Do presenters download my music or stream it through the platform?

When presenters log in, they can browse music in their chosen genres and stream each track to decide whether it fits their shows.

They can also download the MP3 directly from the platform for airplay. Only pre-approved presenters can access your music.

How will I know if my music is being played?

Without an Independent Airplay Report, it can sometimes be difficult to track every play.

That said, many presenters will:

  • mention artists on their radio show pages
  • tag artists on social media
  • contact artists directly to let them know their track is being played

If you choose the Independent Airplay Report option, you'll receive a summary of plays where reporting is available.

When and how will I get my Independent Airplay Report?

Around 30 days after your upload. This gives presenters the chance to access your music and play it on their shows. Get Radio Airplay will email you a PDF version of your report.

What happens if my song receives no reported airplay?

A report showing no plays does not always mean your song has not been aired. Some stations may not be covered by the radio monitoring service, and presenters may also play a track after the 30-day reporting period has ended.

It may also mean the song was not the strongest fit for radio at that time. Factors such as track length, production quality, genre, timing and presenter preference can all affect airplay.

If you're unsure which song to promote next, the Radio Ready Check can help you choose a track that may be better suited to radio.

Do I have to be a member of a Performing Rights Organisation such as PRS or PPL?

No — membership of a Performing Rights Organisation is not required to upload your music to Get Radio Airplay.

However, joining a PRO is recommended if your music is played on radio, as this is how performance royalties are collected and paid. Get Radio Airplay doesn't handle royalties directly, but radio airplay may generate them depending on the broadcaster and territory.

Can labels, managers or radio pluggers upload on behalf of artists?

Get Radio Airplay is designed primarily for independent artists to manage their own radio promotion without needing to use a third party.

A manager may upload on behalf of an artist they directly represent. However, the platform is not intended for labels, agencies or radio pluggers to manage uploads for multiple clients through a single account.

Each artist should have their own profile and account, and introductory offers are limited to genuine new artist registrations.

Can I remove my music from the platform?

Yes. You can remove songs from your profile at any time, including older releases if you'd prefer presenters to focus on your current material.

You can also delete your Get Radio Airplay profile if you no longer wish to use the platform.

What genres does Get Radio Airplay support?

Get Radio Airplay accepts music from all genres. However, some genres are naturally more widely supported than others, which means airplay levels can vary depending on style, audience and presenter interest.

From Our Artists and Presenters

Real words from independent musicians and presenters using Get Radio Airplay.

Simply incredible. We've needed ‘Get Radio Airplay’ for so long and I'm thrilled that something like this finally exists. It's a game changer for independent artists who can now have access to the stations that matter — no more gatekeepers. I did it and the results were out of this world — hundreds of plays on hundreds of stations. It couldn't be easier! I'm a convert. Thank you, Get Radio Airplay, for empowering artists and supporting music, we appreciate you!

James Kennedy & The Underdogs

Get Radio Airplay has been fantastic to use, and I've been thrilled with the number of plays my song ‘Mean Streak’ has received. A number of radio stations have contacted me directly to tell me how much they enjoyed the song — incredibly encouraging and rewarding as an independent artist. I'd happily recommend it to any artist looking to expand their radio reach and connect with new audiences around the world.

August Gone

Such a welcome service for artists trying to get their music heard by a wider audience. The platform is very easy to navigate, the pricing is excellent value, and it's been created by a team of experts from the radio industry who really care for the independent music scene. A real no-brainer for me.

Darrel Higham

Get Radio Airplay is an amazing service and offers great value. I was already familiar with the team's experience in radio promotion, so it was great to be one of the first bands to use the platform. We've seen excellent results from our single release, and the airplay statistics have been really encouraging. Thanks!

Peter118

I'm completely new to releasing my own music, so I had no idea what to expect. Seeing ‘Wish I Could Hate You’ played hundreds of times across radio stations in 14 countries has been amazing. Get Radio Airplay has been simple to use, the reporting is excellent, and, most importantly, it's actually got my music in front of real listeners. I'll definitely be using it again for my next release.

Mark Emsley

Get Radio Airplay is amazing. It's already a gold mine of great music, and it has only just launched. One of the hardest parts of the music industry, especially for newer artists and presenters, is connecting with the right people and audiences. Get Radio Airplay makes that process much easier, and it will help me discover and share new music far more consistently.

Mitch, Indie City Radio

We're an independent band always looking for ways to reach new audiences and Get Radio Airplay was phenomenal! The number of plays in multiple countries was incredible, but it was more than that; to have our new single ‘Televised Screams’ selected by real DJs who love independent music and found us on socials; that was special!

We knew we could trust the Get Radio Airplay team with our track after working with Emma a few years back via Pluggin' Baby, but we were still blown away by the results! For our lil' ol' band from Kent to have reached 15 different countries with nearly 500 plays across the best part of 150 radio stations is absolutely staggering! Thousands upon thousands of potential ears reached in the current climate is not to be sniffed at! 10/10 would highly recommend and we'll definitely be back for more!

Crostpaths

We've worked with Emma on a number of releases previously, so when Get Radio Airplay launched, we were keen to give the new platform a try. We've had hundreds of radio plays around the world across our releases — something we never thought we'd be able to achieve on our own — and we've also seen our streams and social following grow. Get Radio Airplay has given us another great way to get our music in front of radio presenters around the world, and we'll definitely be using the platform again for our next album. Thanks!
